Position Purpose

The incumbent coach will work at the three layers of the enterprise model: strategic, coordination and delivery. With the objective to develop and establish agile standards and assets in alignment to organization model (studio principles) and thereafter to deploy such standards and assets within the Organization.

The incumbent will be responsible to help the squads to develop a set of self-regulation and reflective skills to bring about sustainable transformation in line with the organizational processes.  This is done through close collaboration with Wealth Management Information Services (WMIS) resources with systematic approach, which is well documented.

As an agile coach, the incumbent will guide the teams in using agile best practices to initiate software improvements and increase productivity in both scrum and non-scrum squads.  He / She will also organize, develop and deliver trainings and workshops to maintain and/ improve the expected outcome from the projects.

Key Responsibilities

As Agile Coach:

  • Training: 
    • Educate employees at all levels, including senior, and at times internal clients, on Agile principles
    • Provide teams with tools for implementing the process in their own work. 
    • Provide training sessions and teach valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of agile methodologies.
  • Mentoring:
    • Responsible for guiding teams into the Agile methodology
    • Provide employees with feedback and means of improvement, catalysing organizational growth and answering questions. 
    • Provide hands-on support to all employees, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile as well as overall company growth and improvement.
  • Improve agile adoption:
    • Responsible for designing a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile. 
    • This includes every stage of adoption, from the introduction of Agile and employee education, to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile, to sustaining agile methodologies and continually offering strategies for improvement.
    • Specific focus on WM Transformation program
      • Objectives and Key Result Definition for Transformation Program (Tiger: IT Transformation Program of WM), and subsequent Streams.
      • Tribe implementation between IT and Business around streams constituting the Tiger Program
      • Team Kick-Off workshop establishing Roles and Responsibilities, Flow of Work, Product Vision and Product Backlog among others
      • Other Agile related training and ad-hoc workshop decided over the period.

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

  • At least 10 years of experience in IT with proven track record, including minimum 3 years of experience in agile coaching
  • Must have worked on at latest 1 successful agile transformation in one of the scaled agile frameworks
  • Excellent written and oral communication, especially enabling visibility and transparency
  • Practical team experience with Scrum, Kanban, and/or XP practices
  • Large and small group facilitation experience, working with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Continuous improvement mindset and understanding of the core tenants of Agile
  • Strong Stakeholder management to properly manage business expectations and help them with agile adoption.
  • Thoroughness to ensure all teams (WMIS and Business) get the agile training and support required
  • Must have experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe, LeSS), or other scaling strategies
  • Pragmatic approach to enacting change, in individuals and groups
  • Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree with major in Computer Science
  • Experience of Atlassian Suites, JIRA and Confluence
  • Deep knowledge and experience on MS suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Form)
  • Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
