BNP Paribas Appoints Karine Delvallée as New Regional Head for Southeast Asia
BNP Paribas announced the appointment of Karine Delvallée as its new Regional Head for Southeast Asia. She will also serve as the new CEO of BNP Paribas Singapore Branch. Karine brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as CEO of BNP Paribas Australia and New Zealand.
In her new role, Karine will lead BNP Paribas’ operations across its five key Southeast Asian markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. She will be responsible for driving the Bank’s growth strategy across these markets, focusing on strengthening client relationships. Karine will continue to supervise Australia and New Zealand on behalf of Paul Yang, Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas.
Karine is armed with more than 30 years’ experience in the finance industry and has been with the Bank since 1993. Before moving into territory management, Karine was Chief Risk Officer, Asia Pacific, a role that she had held since 2015. Her other senior roles include Head of RISK for Corporates, Asia Pacific from 2011 to 2014, and Head of Analysts and Credit Management for the Energy and Commodities business.
