What is this position about?
The purpose of the role is to:

* Process the fortnightly pay for Australia and New Zealand
* Regular reporting

Includes liaisons with:
Internal

* Manager and wider HR team
* Staff across all business lines in Australia and New Zealand
* Administration, IT, Finance & Control

External

* Government bodies e.g. Taxation Office, ABS, Super Funds

Primary Role Responsibilities

* Payroll data entry for Australia & New Zealand payroll (new hires, terminations, maintaining accurate personnel data)
* Processing and running of fortnightly payroll function for Australia & New Zealand
* Processing of terminations and manual payments
* Balancing and reconciliation of payroll deductions
* Superannuation contribution/Tax payment with remittance to Fund administrator and reconciliation
* Answering payroll queries efficiently and promptly
* Processing contractor invoices
* Run ad-hoc reports
* Filing Personnel files, Payroll reports and archiving
* Assist HR/Payroll Team with projects
* Create/ maintain positions / headcount / cost centres/pay codes
* Assist with UAT testing with the annual system upgrade
* Advise employees on company’s benefits and statutory entitlement within guidelines
* Payroll Accounting input fortnightly

What is required for you to succeed?
Technical Skills for the role
Required:

* Strong numerical skills
* Understanding of local statutory employment legislations
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel
* Excellent verbal, writing and communication skills

Desirable:

* CHRIS21/ i Chris or similar payroll system

Qualifications & Experience Required

* Relevant Tertiary studies in Human Resources, Business, Finance or other relevant degree
* Payroll/Accounting experience (min. 1+ years)
