2025 APAC Graduate Programme – Transaction Banking APAC

Our two-year graduate programme is designed to provide you with first class training and immediate responsibility, it gives you the support and development you need to start a successful career in financial services.   

For:           Final year students or recent graduates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any disciplines from a recognized university
Duration:     24 months
Start date:   January/ July 2025
Location:     Singapore

Who can apply?
 To be considered for the placement, you will:
 •    Apply as a recent graduate, final year undergraduate, or master’s student in any discipline; 
 •    Possess GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 or above (or equivalent) in any discipline; 
 •    Have to be fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are an advantage); and 
 •    Demonstrate methodical, logical, solution-driven thinking, with commercial awareness and a keen interest in latest finance topics as well as market trends.

Throughout the programme, you will be mentored by experienced managers and team members, as well as pairing with a buddy from our early career cohorts who will make sure you are getting everything you need to grow.

What you will do?

Transaction Banking APAC (TBA) provides key product offers in Cash Management, International Trade and Supply Chain Management.

Mission: Provide transversal contribution to International Trade and BNM to facilitate senior team members’ expert tasks and assignments.

Support to Business Development and Commercial activities: 

  • RAROC/ Profitability simulation preparation 
  • Preparations of regular and ad-hoc portfolio management reporting/ data analysis (eg. Monthly Dashboard, Review of BG Claims, Utilisation reports)
  • Preparations of presentation decks and write-ups for client pitches and RFPs
  • Assist in Client portfolio review /analysis 
  • Compose technical memos to support the launch of new trade finance product structures by collaborating with key internal stakeholders
  • Review trade finance transactions to ensure credit line utilization, KYC status, and pricing are in accordance with bank policies
  • Pricing governance maintenance for International Trade APAC

Support Bank Network Management activities:

  • Manage the opening/closure/modification of RMA keys 
  • Facilitate the opening/closure of Loro/Nostro accounts
  • Assist in the AML process by identifying and escalating suspicious correspondent banking transactions to Compliance
  • Assist to prepare credit requests on bank lines and country envelope considering the network requirements, market trends and historical peak exposures
  • Assist to provide recommended pricing on APAC banks taking into considerations counterparty risk and local market specificities
  • Assist in monitoring of portfolio and structuring of transactions through sell down to other banks, insurance, supranational banks’ guarantee, etc.
  • Assist in KYC responsibilities and duties, as per relevant policies and procedures

The job description is evolutive and the Graduate analyst is expected to gradually take more responsibilities and autonomy as he/she accelerates his/her development and own learning curve in the Business.

Essential Technical Knowledge / Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills, agile with numbers. 
  • Data crunching skills preferred.
  • Experience with Excel VBA is a plus
  • Agile in navigating databases
  • Good interpersonal and communication/presentation skills: must be able to liaise with different stakeholders across APAC
