2025 APAC Long Internship (Jan – Jun) – Securities Services – Singapore

About the Role

As a Banking Services Operations intern, you will:

·        Assist with custody account opening request;

·        Facilitate, follow up and track account opening request;

·        Carries out any other assignments and provides back-up within the team which may include asset servicing activities.

As a Business Implementation & Change Management intern, you will:

·        End-to-end coordination of new client onboarding for the Singapore Branch services;

·        Coordination of Transitions related activities for existing clients – fund launches, terminations, restructuring, etc.;

·        Maintain and build a strong client service culture for all projects;

·        Deepen relationships with all stakeholders and clients and proactively manage issues arising from requirements, deliverables and deadlines;

·       Work independently and proactively promote the continuous improvement of On-boarding, Off-boarding & Transitions documentation, procedures and systems;

·        Assist in end-to-end coordination of new client onboarding and client transitions activities from initiation to GO-LIVE;

·        Assist in ensuring full, transparent and appropriate communication and documentation to and from stakeholders throughout the onboarding and transition activities;

·        Assist in establishing project governance with internal business units for coordination, planning and tracking;

·        Assist in driving regular strategic client meetings, documenting, understanding the onboarding and transition activities timelines, deliverables, requirements, key dependencies and track to closure, escalating where necessary;

·        Assist in completing documentation for implementation sign-off, audit and control

·        Ensure close collaborations with Internal stakeholders – specifically Client Delivery, Client Development, Sales and Relationship Managers to manage pipeline, resourcing and project handovers.

As a CoS & CAO Office intern, you will:

Chief of Staff:

·        Work closely with Chief of Staff (CoS) to manage the Strategy

o   Assist CoS in gathering market inputs from location sales lead; operational inputs from Client Delivery; function updates etc

o   Participate and provide materials for monthly location updates

o   Gather inputs from Management team and prepare materials for management reporting

·        Operational KPIs

o   Drive a project on Operational KPIs and put into a dashboard

·        MarComm & People’s Campaign Support

o   Analyzing key metrics to strategize initiatives in improving workplace culture

o   Initiating and driving key campaigns to support people’s agenda

CAO Office:

·        Review and analyze excel reports related to transactions

·        Review and analyse the multiple data flows that make up these reports

·        Propose and implement improvements to reduce the complexity and effort for these reports

·        Other CAO Office support tasks that can broaden the Candidate’s knowledge on our services

As a Client Development intern, you will:

·        Work closely with Sales support for preparation of new and existing sales client due diligence slides etc.;

·        Partner Sales and Relationship Managers in client facing meetings, follow ups, reports;

·        Responsible for assisting the local Sales and RM team:-

o   deals and pipeline updates and reporting using Client Vision

o   logistics for internal and external meetings/ presentations and RFPs

o   manage invitations and responses for client events liaising with Global Markets and senior bankers

o   manage distribution of mass client communications and marketing materials

·        Support regional forums/ meetings with stakeholders (e.g. Client Development meetings) – including preparation of decks and liaison with offshore BP2S offices;

·        Support Relationship Managers in completing client onboarding and recertification (KYC) due diligence; as well as billing setup and prioritize with invoicing centre;

·        Assist Sales and Relationship Managers in managing legal documents execution including completion of signature request form;

·        Responsible for the seamless delivery of Client Development governance controls oversight and controls related projects, support and participate in formulating key strategic client account plans, etc.;

·        Drive and facilitate business acceptance committee (BAC) approval meetings including quality control of BAC forms, minutes and all related documents for BAC requests for Singapore as booking centre supporting all regional buying locations in Asia including HK, Japan, China and Korea. This includes liaising and coordinating with the Sales / Relationship Managers in North and South Asia;

·        Ad hoc tasks on operational issues and data reconciliation from the Central team.

As a Client Reporting intern, you will:

The Client Reporting team oversees the production of month-end reporting for Institutional clients performed by the Singapore office to ensure the timely delivery and accuracy of the reports. The scope will also include liaising with various internal operational teams to ensure smooth production and to resolve any issues and/or queries raised by the client.

·        To manage the end-to-end process to produce the Client reports for Institutional client, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of the reports while complying with internal controls, policies and procedures. To investigate and resolve any data anomalies that may impact the accuracy and timeliness;

·        To resolve client queries relating to reporting issues and respond to ad-hoc client queries or requests in a timely manner;

·        To prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly NAV funds in accordance with applicable Industry recommended accounting practices, accounting standard or specific constitutional documents. And to ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports and NAVs;

·        To work with internal teams to close the gap and improve process, and update internal procedures for any changes;

·        Develop a full understanding of client’s reporting requirements;

·        To contribute to other ad-hoc activities that may be required from time to time.

As a Financial Intermediaries & Corporates (FI&C) Client Line intern, you will:

Acts as a central actor in the provision of Local Custody, Global Custody and Cash Management and Treasury solutions for the Securities Services client base with BNP Paribas to provide integral central support to the Client Lines FI&C team;-

·        FI&C activities in the region

o   Key support for regional Heads of FI&C Client Line and APAC Heads of Custody & Clearing Product;

o   Monitoring and reporting of profitability to regional stakeholders;

o   Analytical analysis and reporting of underlying client activity;

o   Support to local product manages in pricing new and existing client activity.

·        Assist the development of the product franchise

o   Help the regional heads in delivering key priorities;

o   Generate ideas to improve our product offer;

o   Assist in ensuring that regional product needs and regulatory needs are well taken into account in the product development plan;

o   Support in maintaining product intelligence (competition features, pricing policy, regulation);

o   Act as a support to the SME’s for custody product.

·        Support of the sale of custody products

o   Assist the Regional head of custody product to delivery on agreed strategy;

o   Assist the custody product manager in ensuring that the sales team have a fair command of the products and services;

o   Assist Local product managers in terms or RFP and RFI with respect to custody products.

As a Fund Accountant intern, you will:

Involve in the day-to day fund administration operations performed by the Singapore office for domestic funds/portfolios managed in Asia/European that cover the morning shift on rotation basis.

·        Review daily, weekly and monthly NAV funds/portfolios in accordance with applicable Industry recommended accounting practices, accounting standard or specific constitutional documents;

·        Work with fund/portfolio accountants and liaise with different support functions to ensure NAVs are delivered in timely manner to meet the agreed KPIs;

·        Provide accurate statistic data (KPIs etc.) on an as-scheduled basis and establish service excellence;

·        Ensure NAV calculations are accurately prepared and in line with the BNPP operational and system procedural manual.;

·        Working pro-actively with Clients to resolve queries on action points relating to Fund Admin matters;

·        Able to work closely under tight deadline with client and auditors to meet client specific reporting requirements;

·        Other ad-hoc duties as may be required from time to time;

·        Prepare operational and system procedural manuals to ensure that all operational risks are well under control and adequate for the day to day activities;

·        Report and escalate operational or major incidents including any breach or error occurrences to the Management.

As an Investment Reporting and Performance intern, you will:

The Investment Reporting and Performance (IRP) team sits within Asset and Fund Services division of BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S). The team’s mission is to provide investment analytics services to internal and external clients of BP2S. The three key services areas are:

·        Service delivery of investment performance & risk analytics for internal and external clients

·        Client relationship management support for internal and external clients of IRP in Asia

·        Technical expertise and product consulting for internal and external clients of IRP in Asia

IRP are a specialised, analytical and client services focused team. To enable them to complete their roles fully, they are required to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

As a Private Capital intern, you will:

Assist the Team in carrying out delivery of service to client support onboarding and transitions and participate in business change and improvement projects:-

Assist the team in timely completion of preparing client’s accounts, preparing NAV calculation, reporting and statement distribution, audits, preparation of other client’s deliverables, conduct research and/or system testing and adhere to BNP’s internal control and risk framework.
