ROLE DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
To support our ambition in Private Assets globally and in APAC specifically we are looking to attract a Senior Investor Relations colleague for  APAC. The individual will be responsible for driving asset growth and managing relationships with sales teams and direct clients.
This person will be a part of Global Client Group global line and accountable, together with the local BNPPAM Sales teams, of the overall fundraising effort for Private Assets and for the follow up of Private Assets clients. Together with the Private Assets team in Europe,  this person will be responsible and have oversight of all marketing content, the coordination and animation of the local sales effort for fund raising, leading on follow up discussions with clients once initial introduction has been made and in some instances direct relationships with prospects and clients, in coordination with local sales.
The Senior Investor Relations colleague will report directly to the CEO APAC, with strong collaboration with the Private Assets team in Europe. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Orchestrate fund raising for funds and strategies within his/her scope
    • Coordinate with local sales the establishment of long lists of prospects, timelines for reach out, template of reporting
    • Monitor progress on local reach out, support local sales teams with training and marketing support, escalate challenges
    • Monitor APAC pipeline and fund raising
  • Actively participate to fund raising through direct contact with clients and providing of marketing material within his/her scope
    • Participate to introductory meetings with local sales – or even directly if coordinated with local sales
    • Manage and lead the deal closing process by following opportunities progress and feeding prospects with information
    • Constantly feed sales and clients with high quality investment content
    • Be responsible for the quality of marketing material, messaging, and investment content for APAC investors
  • Participate to the business development strategy for the strategies within his/her scope
    • Contribute to the planning of fund launches: input on market appetite, market timing, competitor analysis
    • Constantly liaise with local sales, market research team, and Private Assets portfolio management and Investor Relations teams to anticipate market demand
Work with local management and sales teams and Private Assets leadership team to define the Private Asset sales strategy and fund launches plans for APAC
  • Nurture existing client within his/her scope in coordination with local sales
    • Organizes the frequent flow of information to existing clients;
    • Oversee the quality of reporting for existing clients, make sure each client is seen at an appropriate frequency
    • Pro-actively prepares re-ups from clients before new vintage launch
ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Specific skills
  • A proven expert with internal and external credibility and gravitas in the private asset eco-system in APAC:
    • Credibility vis a vis the investment teams within his/her scope – Understand asset classes, sourcing, selection, portfolio construction
    • Credibility vis a vis clients– Understand AM distribution, has experience of senior relationship with Investors
  • Very strong sensitivity to risk management and to regulatory topics. Acts in full compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, Company policies and codes of conduct
  • Able to represent BNP Paribas to establish long-term relationships and provide excellence to our clients.

Essential qualifications & experience
  • Graduate Degree level education or equivalent
  • Strong experience in investor relations with a Private Markets angle
  • International experience, fluency in English (written and spoken) fluency in Mandarin or other Asian language will be a plus
