APAC Transformation’ mandate is two-fold :

•    Support strategic transformation initiatives or large, complex strategic programs

•    Business improvement projects to improve efficiency of processes & organizations 

APAC Transformation projects are undertaken with a wide range of client franchise encompassing the full APAC region: CIB and IFS businesses, Coverages, Functions and Countries.

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like? 

Direct Responsibilities

?    Manage large, complex transformation programs specific to APAC or in connection with global initiatives or specific metiers/functions

?    Manage from 1 to 2 Transformation Associates according to project needs

?    Secure end-to-end implementation of strategic transformation initiatives

?    Drive business / process / organizational improvement projects through consulting mindset, ensuring solid framing of projects and impactful & quality delivery

?    Derive viable solutions through deep-dive analysis, problem solving, process/organization re-engineering, target operating model design etc.

?    Present findings, pain points, recommendations and project status to Senior Sponsors and projects’ stakeholders

?    Enrich the client satisfaction by managing client and stakeholder relationships and showing agility to adjust to changing dynamics / needs of an engagement

?    Act as coach for Transformation Associates & Senior Transformation Associates and be a member of appraisal committee, contributing to performance appraisal and personal development plan

?    Actively contribute to team development through continuous feedback to improve the team, sharing best practices and actively engage in transversalities of the team

What is required for you to succeed?

?    Minimum 12 years of total experience, of which minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Business Project Management, Transformation Programs and Process & Organization Consulting 

?    Minimum 5 years of working experience in banking and financial industries

?    Experience in leading transversal transformation programs and/or business improvement projects involving senior management stakeholders

?    Experience in leading the design and implementation of Target Operating Model (business improvement / process efficiency / organizational efficiency / offshoring / regulatory) projects

?    Candidates with knowledge of Corporate Banking / Capital Markets / Global Markets / Securities Services products and processes

?    Strong planning, organization and stakeholder management skills

?    Ability to navigate the project & organizational complexities with courage, transparency and resilience

?    Ability to go into operational details, yet create a synthetic view for senior management  

?    Good communication, problem solving and analytical skills

?    Focus on business impact and client satisfaction at all times through solid delivery of projects

?    Travel in APAC countries may be required

Position Purpose

The objective of the Client Risk Management Officer is to ensure a robust client risk management which ought to be a

By-design, End-to-end and at scale risk management (defined as the target model).

Hence, the Client Risk management Office Team is responsible for engaging the actions to implement, run and makes the necessary evolutions over time to this target model in line / close collaboration with the global Client Risk Management team.

Its coverage is regional, ie. all locations and all activities in APAC, incl. MFS, DEC. He/she will be located in Singapore.

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like? 

The Client Risk Management Officer will have to:

  • Implement the client risk strategy and risk appetite in line with the go-to-market of each client segment
  • Improve / implement and coordinate the related business or risk methodologies and processes (ow selectivity /selectiveness processes, end to end offboarding, etc.), including exploring and implementing automation and AI projects
  • Define and monitor the control over the client risk profile
  • Define and implement enhancement / oversight over the quality of the KYC client information provided by Client Development and KYC execution by ITO teams
  • Define and implement the oversight over AML alerts and AML projects
  • Be the point of contact for incidents management (as far as client risk management is needed)
  • Contribute to IG or regulatory missions
  • Ensure the dissemination of the risk culture amongst the business (as far as client risk mgt is concerned)
  • Measure & monitor the performance of the framework (KPIs)
  • Share best practices with CRMO community so as to contribute to the improvement of the overall client risk management framework
  • Oversight full adhesion of the business to:
  • Compliance, Financial Security & Risks policies
  • Regulatory obligations
  • Code of Conduct, including close follow-up on potential Conduct issues
  • Standard 2S processes & procedures

What is required for you to succeed?

  • At least 10 years’ experience in a Risk Management role
  • Previous experience in Financial Security management
  • Able to coordinate and animate a community

What is this position about?

The Head – Finance is primary responsible for the coordination of the accounting closing, together with local stakeholders, the Finance Regional Platform (HK and ISPL FSS) and ISPL Finance. He/She shall be responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts and local regulatory reporting.

In this role, he/she acts as main contact point of the Manila Branch Management regarding all Finance-related topics and contributes to the strategic development of the local activities in full compliance with accounting standards, local regulations, and internal control requirements.

The Head – Finance is required to have a good understanding of the activity dynamics of the entity that he/she supervises, manage upcoming accounting requirements, and give pro-active advice and opinions as a member of the Management Team of the entity.

Primary Role Responsibilities

1.     Ensure that Manila branch comply with Regional and Head Office instructions, including those for Forecasts/Budgets:

–  Work with Regional Platform Heads closely

–  Ensure accounts are properly maintained and controlled

–  Perform relay role with local Businesses and Functions to assist in Head Office Reporting 

2.     Ensure compliance with the Regulatory requirements

–  Guarantee the accurate and timely production of the various reporting (Statutory, Head Office, Tax and Fiscal, Liquidity, Management), in compliance with BNPP Policy and local regulations.

–  Liaising with external auditors to produce internal and audited statements.

3.     Ensure that Manila branch fully comply with Corporate Tax laws and Regulations:

–  Perform required reporting accurately and on time

–  Ensure Global/Regional Transfer Pricing Agreements, Bilateral Agreements, Service Level Agreements and Business Agreements are in place, conform with legal, tax and regulatory requirements and are kept up to date in liaison with Regional Tax Department and that Agreements are respected (billing methodology, frequency, KPI reporting, etc)

–  Ensure Management and the Regional Tax Department are advised of any tax issues in a timely manner

–  Liaise with external advisors for Tax Compliance services and for Tax Advisory services

4.     Perform accounts payable function for Manila branch:

–  Staff Claims, Supplier Payments and Intergroup Invoicing (payments in and out) to be performed by Finance Operations Platform (FOP) in ISPL under Group’s standardized procedures

–  Validation of the expenses and payments amounts

–  Optimize where possible (electronic payments, grouping of invoicing, etc)

5.     Liaise with Regional Finance Teams to ensure full alignment:

–  Practise close coordination with Regional Heads to keep abreast of changes, focuses, priorities

–  Contribute to Regional initiatives and ensure local application is fully in line

–  Participate actively in decision making at Regional level ensuring that Manila branch is heard and has appropriate influence

6.     Ensure Group’s operational control framework with regards Finance is effectively followed:

–  Ensure written procedures exist and are up to date

–  Define and regularly review Key Performance and Risk Indicators (KPI’s and KRI’s)

–  Ensure proper recording in FORECAST with corrective and preventative actions clearly identified and follow-up on their implementation
