What is this position about?
Within BNP Paribas Singapore, Client Engagement and Protection (CEP), KYC Production Team (KYC) oversees onboarding new clients efficiently and responsible for the recertification process for existing clients.
The APAC KYC Senior Business Manager (hereafter the ‘SBM’) is responsible of overseeing the management of the KYC production by performing resources management, budget review, capacity planning and monitor that production and quality targets are reached and maintained in each country. The SBM will help on the implementation of actions plan to ensure that each country has a consistent approach in line with central plan and that they meet the expected targets.
The SBM will oversee remediation, ensure associated workload is properly assessed, monitored, and followed- up until their completion. The SBM will also help to harmonize the best practices with other regions, simplify and improve the KYC set-up, provide visibility to business lines on the work performed, help in animating the KYC community, implement simplification, TOM and KYC tools in APAC.
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
You will have to interact with many stakeholders based in APAC to ensure the KYC production is properly followed and managed with good quality. To do so, you will have to manage the KYC community, set-up a governance, make presentation, create actions plan, ensure great resources management, update capacity plan on a regular basis. Various initiatives or topics that require global alignment must be followed with EMEA and AMER so you will have to interact as well with other stakeholders and management. This position gives a great exposure to the management and great understanding on the KYC environment, Business and Compliance set-up.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist on the resources management:
• Follow-up on the implementation of harmonized Job Descriptions, Objectives, Mid-Year appraisal, continuous feedback to the team members.
• Enrich and follow-up the resources management spreadsheet and keep it updated on a regular basis.
• Follow-up on the recruitment initiatives with the site(s), monitor the ongoing recruitment and in case of ramp-down, make sure that the and the ramp-down to be performed on a regular basis.
• Participate to the budget yearly review based on expected capacity planning and actual resources.
Monitor production with ISPL and the site(s):
• Prepare and update capacity planning based on the resources on a regular basis.
• Monitor capacity, volumes, quality and prepare KPI to report to the management. Ensure that each weekly/monthly production and quality targets are properly implemented in each team and met on a regular basis.
• Ensure the production/ quality trackers are properly updated by the team members daily.
• Perform extraction on production and quality analysis by business lines monthly to send to each Business Line to provide them with a great production and quality visibility.
• Assist on the implementation and follow-up of action plans in APAC to ensure the production and quality are properly followed at local and APAC level.
• Implement new KPI or KQI (in coordination with the SKYCO tower) to better follow our activity.
• Manage, coordinate, and ensure closing of Remediation exercises.
Animate the KYC community, set-up efficient governance, foster continuous improvement and change improvement mindset:
• Assist on the governance to be implemented on various topics, take minutes, and make pro-active follow-up of the topics. Ensure a great communication to all APAC stakeholders and help an animating the KYC APAC Community. Foster continuous improvement and change management mindset.
• Help on the follow-up of the KYC simplification topics to gain efficiency and avoid duplication of tasks in our process.
• Follow-up on any continuous improvement initiatives prioritized by the management. Support the BGC/BGDO implementation and any other projects that bring efficiency in our process.
Coordinate the implementation and deployment of:
• Target Operating Model defined by central teams at local level (including policies, SOP, processes, and IT deployment).
• New or current tools implementation with the dedicated APAC IT SPOC such as Fenergo, Welcome App. Ensure the business and tools requirements/enhancements are well escalated to the APAC IT SPOC and liaise with central.

What is required for you to succeed?
• Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and to work collaboratively across functions and regions.
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to great connection with stakeholder.
• 7+ years of working experiences, of which 5 years of experience in any of the following areas preferred: Project Manager in the KYC environment. Proven experience in managing projects including KYC-related initiatives.
• Ability to interpret and articulate the guidelines provided by the Group Policies and Procedures to govern the KYC/AML process.
• Able to organize, evaluate and assess information to make recommendations and to escalate when necessary.
• Self-motivated and attentive in ensuring quality.
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Demonstrates effective organization and time management skills.
• Fluent in English (Chinese Mandarin, French, or any other Asian language is a plus).
• History of achievements in similar previous roles.
• Agile and open to transformation and change.
