Position Purpose
The role of Business Development Associate is to provide support to the BNP Paribas Asset Management institutional and wholesale distribution teams in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
Account Planning and Sales Strategy
o Assist with the development of account plans for selected clients and prospects
o Assist with the development of sales strategy for nominated market segments
o Monitor and report on the execution of account plans and sales strategy
o Conduct market and competitor research and analysis

Client and Prospect Engagement o Engage with clients and prospects in order to support strengthen existing relationships
o Identify lead generation opportunities from existing clients and prospects
o Assist Business Development Managers with arranging and booking meetings
o Provide follow up information to clients and prospects from engagements
o Prepare presentations and briefing notes for fund manager meetings

Management Reporting (Salesforce, Tableau and Stoneshot)
o Responsible for the management and quality of the Salesforce database
o Generate sales dashboard reporting and update sales pipelines
o Prepare sales team meeting presentations and maintain action logs
o Create call reports and maintain action logs
o Manage distribution lists for client reporting, content engagement and events
o Produce management presentations for internal stakeholders

Distribution Team Support
o Collaborate with the marketing team on events and fund manager roadshows
o Maintain gift and invitations registers and reconciliations, create expense claims and conduct client screening in line with internal compliance requirements
o Back up for domestic and international travel bookings

Specific Qualifications Required
▪ At least two years’ experience in a similar role at a fund manager or financial services firm
▪ Minimum of a University degree in Business or Finance
▪ Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
▪ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
▪ Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
▪ Willingness to work flexible hours and manage time effectively.
