The OPC Manager is responsible for supporting Securities Services management to:
* Effectively manage operational risks
* Operate within risk appetite
* Adhere to the ORMF
* Effectively monitor and report ORMF elements
* Effectively monitor and report fraud, third-party, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) risk management.
Main Accountabilities of the OPC Manager
Identification and assessment of risks and controls
* Support Securities Services managers in:
* Completing the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) including risk identification, evaluation, validation, defining action plans and reconciling to risk appetite.
* The identification and assessment of third party risk including adhering to Group guidelines.
* The operational risk assessment of new activities, products and projects.
Verification and controls assurance
* Support Securities Services managers in designing and executing control plans
* Perform risk-based control assurance
* Report and monitor remediation of control testing results
Incident Management
* Capture, analyse and define remediation actions
* Help with incident management reporting
* Actively manage aged incidents
Audit Recommendations
* Help Securities Services managers address audit recommendations
* Actively manage the completion of recommendation action items
* Report and monitor overdue recommendation action items
Governance and reporting
* Actively contribute to non-financial risk committees
Awareness and training
* Promote and ensure awareness of the ORMF
* Provide training on ORMF elements
Anti-Fraud
* Help Securities Services managers identify and assess the risk of internal and external fraud risks
* Help Securities Services adhere to the anti-fraud control framework in compliance with Group guidelines, regulations and the risk environment
ISAE-3402 (and other external reviews)
* Project manage the Securities Services ISAE-3402 controls review twice annually.
* Actively manage and escalate ISAE-3402 deviations, qualifications, exceptions, and recommendations
* Prepare client reporting and presentation on ISAE-3402 results. Specific to certain clients
* Manage, reporting and monitor completion of remediation actions identified by the ISAE-3402 report
* Manage engagement, scoping and billing with external auditors
What is required for you to succeed
* Tertiary-level qualification essential with CA/CPA qualifications preferable
* Expertise in the execution of an ORMF
* Expertise in the execution of a CMF
* Knowledge and experience in financial services. Knowledge of custody and fund administration highly advantageous
* Knowledge and experience in an external/internal audit
* Knowledge and experience in a Line 2 Compliance or Operational Risk teams highly advantageous
