Position Purpose
Business Change Management (BCM) resides under the Client Delivery Division of BNP Paribas Securities Services. It oversees the program, project and change portfolio for the division across Australia and New Zealand as well as participation in regional and global projects when required. The team collaborates closely with business partners, clients and vendors to deliver to organisational objectives. The team is comprised of a number of project delivery functions, this role is with the Portfolio Management Office (PMO), whose key functions are:
* Project Governance and Controls
* Financial Management
* Project Methodology
* Quality Assurance
* Project Portfolio management (PPM) and reporting
* Capacity Management
* Continuous improvement across all of these areas
The purpose of the PMO and this role is to improve the consistency, predictability and efficiency of project delivery, support the project management capability, and provide visibility and MI to senior management to support the management of the portfolio of change.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for or contribute to the below:
* Ensure the BCM portfolio roadmap and pipeline are kept up to date and accurate, and provide visibility to relevant stakeholders
* Contribute to the preparation of Portfolio Governance Committee (PGC) papers to enable effective selection and prioritization of projects
* Provide support to Project Managers in preparation of PGC submissions and QA of these
* Contribute to the maintenance and continual improvement of the project delivery methodology with consideration of industry best practices
* Assist in governing the gate approvals and status reporting for the portfolio of projects, working closely with the Portfolio manager and Project managers
* Contribute to the Financial management of the portfolio – prepare, track and monitor headcount, budgets and actuals
* Tracking and reporting of resource utilisation, including forecasting resource capacity and facilitating the resolution of resource contention
* Become well versed in and safeguard the integrity of the BCM change delivery framework by ensuring compliance to the framework by all programs, projects and changes
* Enforce quality assurance by regularly reviewing to ensure that project artefacts are consistent, complete and timely
* Maintain the BCM portfolio risks and issues log ensuring regular reviews and appropriate escalation when required
* Investigation and implementation of tools and techniques to assist in PMO and project management processes
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical:
* 5+ years’ experience within a PMO function or as a project manager in Financial Services, with involvement in some or all areas described in the Position purpose and responsibilities
* Strong understanding of the project lifecycle
* Knowledge of Waterfall methodologies and Agile delivery
* Advanced communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
* Highly developed attention to detail
* Strong numeracy skills – able to track and report complex budget information in a clear and consistent manner
* MS Excel – Advanced
* MS Project, Word, PowerPoint – Intermediate/Advanced
* JIRA & Confluence – Intermediate/Advanced
Desirable:
* Experience working within an enterprise PMO
* Experience in custody or back-office administration for the funds management industry
* Sharepoint administration experience
* PowerBI report creation/ maintenance experience.
